2005 WSOP on ESPN
I finished watching the the broadcasts of the Main Event of the 2005 World Series of Poker a couple of weeks ago. I was only 3 months late, but that’s the beauty of having a DVR.
I enjoyed the coverage more than the last two years and I’ll even admit that I enjoyed watching Mike Matusow. When he and the Sheik (sp.?) went at it, it make for great entertainment. I really wish Steve Dannenmann could have pulled out the win. He was a class act and thoroughly enjoyed the game.
Can’t wait to see what kind of characters come out for the 2006 WSOP. Will we see 10,000 players?
Just a Little Bit
I’ve played very little poker lately and the trend will continue for another week or two. I’m going to the Red Wings game tonight, Lions game tomorrow, and Pistons on Friday. How’s that for a Thanksgiving? I also received my Xbox 360 yesterday so that will be taking up a lot of my free time. Do me a favor and make up for the raises I won’t be able to put in.

A-Rod Playing Poker in Illegal Card Rooms?
ESPN reports that the Yankees have warned Alex Rodriguez about playing poker in illegal clubs. Some of these pro sports teams need to mind their own business.
Blogger Heads Up
I’ll be playing HU2 with a bunch of other poker bloggers. I’ve had good success when I’ve played heads up matches on a few different sites, so I’m looking forward to testing my HU game against better opponents.
