PCT Version 2
I just activated the new layout at Poker Chip Tricks.
A Few Site Updates
It appears as if the server move is done. Let me know if you notice anything out of place or not working correctly.
The logo contest at Poker Chip Tricks has ended. I’ll be working on a new design for that site. Hopefully sooner than later. The winner, Daragh Wallace, also created a new logo set that you see here at the top of 2 Hole Cards. If you don’t see a new logo, clear your cache and refresh the page. I also redesigned everything to match up with the new colors. I really like how it turned out. Again, please let me know if anything doesn’t look right.
In poker news…I haven’t been playing much lately. Just a little no-limit here and there. I’m plugging along at a nice pace and winning almost every session. If I could just learn to trust my reads more I’d be doing great. I can’t count how many times I’ve guessed the other player’s hand and still called, only to see that I was right. It’s a big leak for me.
Server Move
In the process of moving the site to a new server. Watch out for falling HTML and PHP.

Using WordPress 1.5
The site is now using WordPress 1.5, the latest and greatest version of the best blogging software the web has to offer. I’ve added a contact form, which can be accessed in the Navigation section on the right or by clicking my name in the footer. You won’t notice much different around the site, but I sure do in the administration of it. Sometime soon I’ll work on a better looking design, but this is what you get to keep for now. I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled poker blogging in a few days…
To The Front Page
Thanks to everyone who has linked to Poker Chip Tricks! I just checked Google and the site has risen from the dead to the first page of results. I hope the stay is permanent.
Let the Cream Rise to the Top
As many of you may know, back in September, I launched pokerchiptricks.com, a site dedicated to tutorials on doing poker chip tricks. The site has been very successful and has opened a few doors for me. One thing that bothers me though, is that the site is still not listed near the top of the Google results when searching for “poker chip tricks” so I think there are many people missing out if they don’t search through the three or four pages of results before finding the site.
I hate to do this, but I’m going to ask for some help on this one. As many of you know, the more links, the higher a site ranks with the search engines. Some of you already link to the site and I THANK YOU! For those of you that don’t currently link to it, do me a favor and check out the site. If you like what you see, throw a link up on your site with the words “Poker Chip Tricks” as the text of the link. If you’d prefer to use an image and link to the site, I have a few different sized images that you can use. If you link up, feel free to leave a link to your own site over at that post.
Thanks for your time on this!
Stop the Comment Spam
Hopefully comment spam is a thing of the past. I want to apologize to anyone who has attempted to comment recently and has been redirected to the FBI’s site. I think my comment spam checking system was going a little haywire from all of the spammers and it was flagging some of you that were attempting to leave legitimate comments. I hope the new system I’ve implemented will fix the problem. Please let me know if you ever have any problems commenting on any of my sites.
Using Card Converter
This site takes advantage of my Card Converter Plugin for WordPress. What this allows you to do is type <card>Ah</card> in the comment box and A♥ will be displayed. This works for every playing card abbreviation, plus a few extras. You can also use the quicktag buttons just above the comment box so that you don’t have to type out everything by hand. For more instructions and a full set of features, visit the link above.
Welcome to 2 Hole Cards!
My name is Nick Momrik and this is my poker blog. My personal site, MtDewVirus was getting way too many posts about poker, so I decided to start a new site. Enjoy your stay and come back soon!
